I had previously tried coaching as part of another program. It didn’t work for me. The other coaches tend to have a more Socratic Method approach where there is less real world advice and more of a series of constant questions that try to guide you to an answer. I didn’t feel the immediate impact like I did with Frank's style where there was no fluff, no questioning, but more of a “here’s something I’ve found works based on my experience” with a clear explanation and examples of how it worked for you. Being able to take that and immediately relate it to things I am dealing with helped make an immediate connection on the things I may not be doing well, and the things I can try to do to improve. It also felt less like therapy, with someone distanced, and more like an older brother, who has been through all of this before and knows how to help you not make the mistakes they may have made early on in their life."
